2017 Schema Update - Programmatic Information
Question:
Do we need to update current data to the new schema?
Answer:
Yes, current 2016 data must be updated to the new schema between 8/15/16 and 9/23/16. [Both the new and old schema will pass validation during the window of 8/15/16-9/23/16 to allow time to update the files.]
Question:
Do we have to keep 2016 data updated when 2017 data is included?
Answer:
Yes, 2016 data must be kept updated, keeping with the existing requirement of updating no less than every 30 days; and data must be kept in files through 1/1/17. After that point, 2016 data should be removed from Issuer files.
Question:
Can issuers create separate files for 2016 and 2017?
Answer:
Issuers must utilize the years array to combine their files.
Question:
Can issuers submit a separate index file for 2017 plan data?
A:
No, issuers must use one index file to represent their files.
Questions:
Will there be a separate test environment where issuers can review 2017 data?
How can I get access to the test environment?
Can we submit separate test files?
Answer:
Test environments will be available during all-issuer testing, and for a subset of issuers during alpha issuer testing.
Instructions for accessing the test environment will be available when testing begins, and issuers will be given a contact email address and instructions to request access.
Issuers should integrate 2017 plan information into their existing files, there is not a separate test database or provision for separate test files.
