Can NPI records or RxCUI records be duplicated?
If an address, accepting status, quantity limit, or any other attribute of a provider or drug are different in different plan years, how can they be represented?
Answer:
If attributes (such as address, accepting status, quantity limits, copay, etc.) have changed year to year, the NPI (for providers or facilities) or RxCUI (for drugs) should be duplicated and the relevant year and attributes should be included in each.
Question:
Is the array Years required if only one plan year is being represented currently? Is the array Years required if the plan ID is only offered/applicable in one year?
Answer:
Years array will be required for all Plan IDs listed starting 9/23/16. It may be included in files starting 8/15/16.
